Works as a policy advisor at the German Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training (BIBB), where he leads an international campaign for skilled workers abroad. Prior to this he worked as a policy advisor for the Federal Ministry for Labour and Social Affairs, Stiftung Mercator and the Society for Social Business Consultancy (gsub). Isabel Thiele

Mahta Woldezghi
My name is Mahta Woldezghi, I was born in Reggio Emilia (Italy) but my parents came from Eritrea. I was graduated in Comparative Politics, Faculty of Political Sciences at the Alma Mater Studiorum in Bologna (Italy): my thesis was focused on immigration policies with the title “Immigration policies in Great Britain and in the Netherlands in the ‘80s”. In 2006, I started to collaborate with the Intercultural Center “Mondinsieme” as intercultural educator with the high schools and also as a reporter for the local newspaper “Gazzetta di Reggio” (a specific insert on immigration issues called “Pagina speciale Mondinsieme”. In 2007, my position within Mondinsieme changed and I became the manager of the intercultural projects involving migrant associations. In this framework I plan and implement cultural events and projects based on the promotion of the intercultural dialogue and the cultural pluralism, and in collaboration with different local actors: citizens, social and cultural organizations, public authorities and private bodies. Gabriele Mammi
My name is Gabriele Mammi, I was born on 9 February 1989. I grown up in Albinea, a small town around the hills of Reggio Emilia city, where I studied until the age of 14. I started to play basketball at the same age with Polisportiva Albinetana, with which, in later years, we won many times Regional Championship and disputed also a National Tournament in Rome. In 2007 I stopped playing basketball because of knee problems. In the same year, I started to take musical lessons for classical guitar. Rock/modern guitar lessons are taken in subsequent years inside CEPAM school of music in Reggio Emilia. In 2008 I obtained an High School Diploma as a Geometer. In the meantime I started some musical projects (currently I'm guitarist in the female fronted metal band Winter Haze from Parma), also studying numerous aspects of hobbies I like such cooking, gardening, narratives, mythology, legends. In 2014 I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (in Music), at the University of Bologna, with a thesis on 'music psychology'applied on emotions. From early January 2015 I'm engaged in civil cervice with Intercultural Centre 'Fondazione Mondinsieme' of Reggio Emilia. |
Sinthujha Nagendram
Hi! My name is Sinthujha Nagendram. I was born in Reggio Emilia in Italy on 21.08.1988. I am Tamil. I’m in the last year of law at the University of Bologna and have started the practice at a law firm. At the same time I’m the vice president of the Giovani Tamil Association, an association that aims to reconcile the dual identity of the young Tamils and to sensitize the international community on the issue of the Tamils, the genocide they suffered and are suffering. Also I was elected in 2010 as secretary of the Council of the Eelam Tamils of Italy, other structure that deals with the needs of the Tamil Diaspora in Italy and those always raise the issue of Tamils. |

Declan Hayden
Declan Hayden is based at the Office for Integration in Dublin City Council, Dublin, Ireland. He holds a Masters in Philosophy in Ethnic and Racial Studies (2000), University of Dublin Trinity College. He has worked in the Department of Community & Social Development in DCC since 2004 and developed the Office for Integration with his colleague Gerry Folan in 2007 from the original Intercultural Relations Unit. The Office is the main centre of integration among the main Public Service bodies in Dublin and Ireland and links closely with the Department of Justice & Equality. The Office works with all migrant and cultural groups in the city of Dublin assisting them with all aspects of Intercultural integration, equality and the prevention of racism and discrimination. A Strategy on Integration: Towards Integration -A City Framework was published and declaration of Intent signed by all members of the Dublin City Development Board in 2008. Dublin became a member of the Council of Europe Intercultural Cities project as part of this work. The OFI have developed numerous projects, initiatives and events to promote integration. Key to these are cultural celebrations and festivals such as the Dublin Chinese New Year Festival. Declan is Director of DCNYF and working on a number of individual Sino-Irish projects. |
